H-High In For No Joke As Champions Were Bent On Their Kneels

H-High eased to a 2-0 unilorin league win over city boys FC with Rahman and Ajao starring for Legacy’s men.

Gafar’s men suffered their first league loss a year after the inception of the prestigious league and it was Legacy who took the honor.

City cracked down Real eagles in the opener twelve months ago but this time they are on the receiving end after a spectacular showing from Rahman and Co.  H-High got the first five minutes into the kickoff through Rahman. El Sharawwy went close to doubling the lead late in the first half but city did well to prevent the horror.
The lions  greatest nightmare came when Ajao made it two-nill from a well taken free kick giving Gafar a lot to ponder over as the trainer was later sent to the stands following his unhealthy dialogues with the officials.

Last season’s fixture between the duo ended in favour of eventual league winners, city. The first encounter ended in a goalless draw while city cruised to a 3-1 victory in the return fixture.

City will look to turn things around when they visit juwon’s eagles on November 26 while H-High will take on champions FC on the same day.

Bolu’s Twisted Knee Sours Skillz’ Victory

Shadrak’s men showed class as they trumped team Kwasu in a preseason clash in the unilorin mainbow stadium on Tuesday  but an eleventh minute knee twist by skillz centre back enveloped the triumph and gave the trainer more concern.

After a 2-2 draw against Zeus FC last Tuesday, the lions stepped up  their game against a reserved kwasu side who started brightly. Little did the visitors know about the fierce threat skillz have in attack and they were punished for it in the first half by the energetic and prolific forward, Chijioke.

Speaking about his side’s strike power in the post match conference,Shadrak said : “that’s what he’s there for – to score goals. He doesn’t need an ocean of space as you witnessed today, it was a half chance and with it he gave us the lead “.

Skillz went on to double their lead before the interval through new signing,Pogba, Who coolly slotted home to wrap up the win before the break .  The playmaker has been identified for his eyes for goals and had had several strikes denied before finally hitting the target some minutes to half time.

Shadrak had an entirely different team for the second half and this he said was to give all his players the chance to express themselves on a bigger stage. Team kwasu however, pulled one back in the second half from the spot and all effort to restore the score line proved abortive with the combination of Lex and Iyeku at the Heart of skillz defence to strong for the malete based team to handle.

Asked about his general assessment of the match in the post match conference with ‘Excel dailies‘, Shadrak responded: “It was a great game, the players were awesome and in the end it was a deserved victory. I’ll dedicate the win to my central diffender who was stretched off minutes into the kickoff. There is no pressure,we remain calm and can only expect that the injury won’t leave him out for long. I wish him quick recovery”

The victory serves as a resounding warning to to the other league teams. Skillz FC have come back stronger this term, they have had their signings behind closed doors, management working tirelessly, with players showing dedication more than ever, the team is starting to become formidable.
If any other team will be crowned champions at the end of the season, then such team must have at the back of their minds that skillz FC are the real deal…they are the team to beat.

Confirm – City Boys FC capture League Trio

The reigning champions have broken silence in the on going transfer window making deals with real eagles,H-High and relegated dynamic feet.

City boys FC recently confirmed Musty as the chairman of the club and the former Gafar’s assistant has quickly swung into action capturing the trio of A. Peter’s from Real eagles,Abbey from H-High and Mido from relegated dynamic feet FC.
Musty as made his admiration of the prolific playmaker known during the January transfer of last season when he jokingly said city may consider Peters if eagles will let him go.

However, city wasted no time to capture the player who was out of contract at real and has refused to sign an extension.  A. Peter’s made it known to ‘Excel dailies’ that he is unimpressed with Real’s management citing that while other teams have begun preparations ahead of the coming season real remain cold and lack the zeal and the human management skills to keep their players and even attract new legs.

“I thank real for giving me the opportunity to express myself last season and I’ll always have them at heart. I wanted to stay there this one season but a lot is wrong with the management. I’ve made up my mind, city is my next destination” was Peters’ conclusion when asked why he decided to leave the team that handed him the captain’s arm band as well as adequate playing time last season.
Mido also expressed  his joy after his move to the reigning champions, stressing that he’ld give his all to help his new team retain the title.

Abbey who has seen out his contract at last season’s runners up H-High has also put pen to paper with Gafar’s side and became the team’s third signing. He will fill the void left by Mukaram at left full back.

Zeus FC capture Real Eagles Duo

The bolts have ended speculations over the final destination of real’s last season highest goal scorer,Nsofor.

The eagles’ central defender had also moved ahead of his team mate days before Zeus finalized Nsofor’s deal  and both will now feature for Abdulbaki’s men in the coming season which kicks off in a fortnight. The bolts have initially seen a five thousand naira offer for the duo rejected by the eagles and both players now appear to have moved as free agents after refusing extension with eagles.

Abdulbaki who took over from Ayobami as the bolts’ trainer following some restructuring in the club’s management and as such seen Ayobami become the club’s chairman confirmed on Monday that his activities in the transfer market is ninety percent done and further signing is no longer a priority.

Nsofor’s loss will be a huge blow on the face of real’s manager who could not convince the forward to play his last season with them. Speaking in an extensive interview with ‘Excel dailies’ the forward made it known that he really wants to ply his trade somewhere else. Asked Why he remains defiant on leaving the team which afforded him plenty of playing time last season,he said: “the management; I do not wish to work with real’s management anymore,a lot was really wrong and my mind is with them no more, thank God my contract with them is due and nothing would make me sign with  them again”.

Real eagles’ boss, Juwon however does not want to see his talisman who helped his side to cling a ‘super four’ spot go through the exit door and has so far done all he could to prevent his move to the bolts.

Juwon had prior to the move insisted that if at all Nsofor will be allowed to leave the team then any club willing to sign him must come with a mouth watering sum. However, the transfer sum of both players to Zeus FC is yet to be revealed as both teams kept sealed lips over the fee but it is rumoured that the duo moved for free following the expiration of their contracts at real and Ayobami has now come out to confirm the transfer of the duo.

Zeus FC have also added Peace Timi and Donald Efe to their squad; both defenders.

Shadrak-Invaders FC will be knicked off in the playoffs

The skillz FC’ boss lashed out the new boys claiming they lack respect for using a ‘lion’ charater in their logo.

Asked to predict which of the three teams in the playoffs will be knocked out he said…. “we are yet to see the teams in action so they all stand equal chances but then I think Invaders FC should be knocked out for sharing our logo, after all there are other animals like the goat, lizard, monkey and …..just name it,that they could make use of”

Skillz FC were only bettered last season by City boys FC and H-High FC  and are strong contenders for this season’s crowns both in the super four and in the league.

PORTUGAL BOUND STAR SET TO JOIN UNILORIN LEAGUE

A number of sensational signings have been made in the ongoing transfer window which has seen Zeus FC capture the signature of Nath from Marine FC in a deal which has hit the ground as the highest transfer fee so far.

Skills FC have gone on to make some impressive inclusions which are yet to be made official,to the side that finished third on the log in the maiden season after cashing in on penniel who opted to join the bolts.

H-High FC have not also been idle having pulled a phenomenal signing by bringing in Medijay.

Meanwhile, real eagles have been trying hard to fend off interest from Zeus who have been monitoring the out of contract duo,Nsofor and Adeiza while Forte Lewis have also had it quiet and may still have most of their stars available for the coming season although the team are looking forward to adding to  their squad before the window closes according to team manager ,Tobi.
However, as impressive as those signings may be,however the depth in any squad, however the balance, however the strategies the managers have in mind….no team,no scout,no coach nor manager will be able to look away from one of Nigeria’s bright prospect, Qudus.

The educational technology undergraduate cemented his place in Robo FC starting eleven before deciding to seek further education in the North Central region of the country , the same team where Liverpool plucked Oshoala.

With less than five minutes of his glimpse during his first training session with faculty of education he caught the eye of the instructor and became an integral part of the  team. His composure on the ball, the strength with which he fends off opponents coupled with accurate passes as well as excellent execution of final ball cannot be over emphasized.

“A number of teams have walked up to him but we’ll see where he heads after the playoffs” was Sossick’s response, the player’s agent when asked of the player’s possible  final destination.

“He has been a regular starter in all the teams played with, one of his phenomenal showings caught the eye of a Portuguese side although the switch became delayed and unfortunately did not materialize due to reasons we are not here to discuss today” the Lagos based kwara agent added.

Our sources though gathered that the player is close to an agreement with one of the playoffs teams but a number of the league’s giants have their tabs on on the Veteran mid fielder and his signature for one of them would be a step above others and one close to the trophy come the end of the season.

UNILORIN LEAGUE INVASION- a concern to many

It is no longer news that the second edition of the only intra-university league in the nation is set to flag off with the inclusion of two new teams from the playoffs in place of the relegated dynamic feet FC and rising stars FC.

Dynamic FC were at a point in the maiden edition one of the favorites to earn a top four spot but fell short of the technique to row their own boat in the huge wave created by City boys FC and Co. Although, many point to their inability to keep afloat in the pool of the league as a consequence of bad management having had coach Najeem resigned when he came under intense scrutiny. His successor could not save them as well with their woes worsened by the resurgence of sole FC who will go into the next season as Leeds FC.

Rising stars on the contrary never seem to be up to the task managing just two victories in the entire season.

The relegated duo are now teams of the past as three new teams have found themselves worthy and are set to lock horns in the playoffs where only two of them will seek to better dynamic feet and rising stars.

It was confirmed that form sales for the playoffs ended on Friday 20th October where Invaders FC, Olympic FC and Royal FC are set to take on one another.
The playoffs is scheduled to kick off on November third when Olympic FC take on Royal FC.  The second fixture comes up on sixth November and would witness Invaders FC versus Olympic FC.  The last match will take place between Invaders FC and Royal on eighth November.

All FIFA rules as well as unilorin league rules shall be adopted in the playoffs rounds hence all participating teams are enjoined to to take note.  The teams are also expected to submit their forms as well as make the studentship data of their players available for proper screening of their players.

City boys FC, H-High FC, skillz FC, Real eagles FC and others should be wary, the new boys are here and ready for invasion.
